Scope of work	Craven County is seeking informal quotes for the bored installation of underground conduit with pull rope, and the supply and installation of 5 (five) hand-holes at designated locations along the conduit installation. This work is in the Craven County Industrial Park, Executive Parkway Extension, located outside of New Bern, North Carolina. Included are aerial maps of hand-hole locations, routes and general overview. This section of roadway is not presently in a NC DOT Right of Way, however all construction and installation must be performed to those standards. The total bore length is estimated to be approximately 2,670 feet, and will contain 5 (five) hand-holes spaced out along the route. The successful bidder will supply all materials to be used in completing the project. Hand-holes will be of Quazite construction material, sizes and Tier ratings are outlined below. The hand-hole locations are approximate on the drawing and will be determined during actual installation. Hand-holes shall not be placed in ditches, depressions, driveways or any location which would prevent the roadway from being approved for state maintenance status in the future. Hand-holes used in this project should be 30x48x36, Tier 22; construction material may be of any type as long as they meet the DOT specifications. Hand-holes are labeled on the attached drawing as HH1 through HH5. The successful bidder will provide materials and install thru boring, one (1) 1.25 inch diameter conduit between all new installed hand holes (1-5), and shall contain a pull rope sufficient to allow pulling of a fiber optic cable, or other communication type materials, between the hand-holes. The successful bidder shall be responsible for scheduling all locates, necessary permits, insurance and any other requirements to perform the required work.
