Scope of work	Sealed bids (proposals) will be received by the Owner, Davidson County, NC, in the Office of Davidson County Support Services (Address: 925 North Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292; Phone: (336) 242-2030) until 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time on September 18th , 2024, and then at said office be publicly opened and read aloud for the following: PHASE 2 - AREA 4 CONSTRUCTION: Includes construction of an approximately 7.8 acre lateral expansion of a Subtitle D landfill unit complete with liner, leachate collection/transmission systems, stormwater separation system, pumps/electrical controls, earthwork, drainage, and erosion and sedimentation control measures. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a Bid Bond by an acceptable surety company of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Base Bid, made payable to the Owner, as a Bid guarantee. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the site (Address: 1242 Old US Highway 29, Thomasville, NC 27360) at 9:00 a.m. on August 27th , 2024. Potential Bidders are urged to attend. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the offices of Smith Gardner, Inc. located at 14 N. Boylan Avenue, Raleigh, North Carolina 27603, upon payment of $150.00 (non-refundable) for each set of documents. Each request for Contract Documents must be accompanied by a check made payable to “Smith Gardner, Inc.” If sets are to be shipped, a non-refundable, fifty dollar ($50) shipping and handling charge will be required. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any Addendums, obtained from any other source.
