A brief overview includes: The purpose of this Agreement is for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to obtain the services of the Contractor to provide general housekeeping services (chore) to qualifying individuals. Chore services are intended to assist qualifying individuals and their families with obtaining and maintaining self-sufficiency and improving the quality of life. Chore services are aimed at preventing the deterioration of an individual’s functional capacity, preventing abuse, neglect and/or exploitation and avoiding premature institutional care by assisting individuals in maintaining themselves in their own homes, or the home of a caregiver, for as long as possible.
